Welcome to the Registration Page for the first annual retreat/workshop for regional non-profit organizations that help protect Wilderness.

Saturday October 12 (noon) through Sunday October 13 (noon)

Keystone Science School, near Dillon Colorado.

The KSS campus comprises 23 acres. Our retreat will utilize indoor spaces in 3 buildings (circled). Camping is accommodated on the flat Activity Field (just outside the dining hall) and parking for RVs/trailers/campers is in the Parking area.

  • Attendees arrive around noon on Saturday, check in, and assemble for the afternoon meeting (1-5pm, with breaks) in Tieken Place.

  • Happy hour and dinner follow in the Dining Hall.

  • An after-dinner program will take place at Tieken Place.

  • Overnight accommodations in the Bunkhouse (men and women on separate sides), tent camping, or vehicles.

  • Sunday breakfast in the Dining Hall

  • Meeting at Tieken Place (9am-noon).

  • Wine & beer

  • Penne and Meatballs: Penne pasta, homemade marinara, meatballs, garlic bread, parmesan cheese, and full salad bar

  • Taco Night: Taco meat, Hard and Soft Shell Tortillas, Rice, Beans with full array of taco toppings and salad bar

  • Macaroni and Cheese: Baked Macaroni and Cheese with Chicken Tenders or Grilled Chicken and Salad Bar

BUNKHOUSE: 9 rooms, each with 2 top-bottom bunk beds. Electrical outlets available. Two central bathrooms (sinks, toilet stalls, showers), one for men, one for women. Guests provide sleeping bags, pillows, towels.


  • Standard Hot Breakfast: Scrambled Eggs, Sausage and an option of biscuits & gravy, pancakes, or home fries

  • Included Cold Bar: Assorted fruits, variety of yogurt, granola, oatmeal, and assorted cereal options. *Dairy Free Milk Available*

  • Juice Bar: Apple, Cranberry, Orange

  • Coffee Bar: Coffee bar upgrade for groups of more than 10 adults. Local Rocky Mountain Roasters coffee, creamer, sweeteners, and hot tea available up to 1 hour post meal.

RVs / Trailers: Parking available. No hookups.

Camping: In flat meadow outside dining hall.

  • 1:30-1:45: Intro - Welcome

  • 1:45-5:15: Activity: Give/Get Help

  • 5:15-5:30: Break

  • 5:30-6:00: Happy Hour

  • 6:00-7:00: Dinner

  • 7:00-7:45: Guest Speaker: RALPH SWAIN

  • 7:45-9:00: Discussion with guest speaker 

SUNDAY  10/13/23

  • 8:00-9:00: Breakfast

  • 9:15-9:30: Intro. Determine name for our group

  • 9:30-10:45: Activity: Small group discussions

  • 10:45-11:00: Break

  • 11:00-11:45: Present small group work

  • 11:45-12:00: Sum up & conclusions

  • 12:00-3:00: Lunch/Hike
